Ruqaya is a child from Homs, lived the siege of Baba Amr. Her father has been detained for two years and the family do not have a carer any more and Ruqaya suddenly began suffering from puffiness in the eye and after consulting the doctor it became apparent that she has a bone tumor in the left eye and he asked that she undergoes urgent surgery to remove the tumor as fast as possible in order to prevent the other eye from being effected. The success of the surgery is very high as the tumor has been diagnosed early, but the unavailability of the only provider for the family and their difficult financial situation made them unable from bearing the cost of treatment.
