Maryam was born in 1981. She went through a long series of displacements with her family due to the cruel conditions of the war until they settled in Afrin in the countryside of the city of Aleppo. She lives with her children in a simple Arabic house. Her son works with a limited income that is barely enough for them to secure their livelihood. She suffers from severe pain due to a disc herniation in the fourth and fifth vertebrae in the spine, in addition to an old disc injury that was treated surgically.
