Samira is a little girl who has known nothing but pain since birth. Just a few months after she was born, signs of illness began to appear, and after consulting doctors, it was revealed that she suffers from hydrocephalus (fluid accumulation in the brain). Her life now depends on the urgent placement of a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt, which could save her from danger and give her the chance to live like other children.
Her family arrived from Lebanon only two months ago and now lives in a small, partially equipped room in her grandfather’s house. Her father works as a laborer for a meager wage that barely covers their daily needs, while also supporting five other children in addition to his sick daughter.
Every day without treatment increases the child’s suffering, yet her innocent eyes still hold on to the hope of life. Help us save the life of this innocent child and bring hope back to his family!
