Geschichte
Mohammed lives in an underground room, working as a building caretaker in Qudsaya. The room has no ventilation; its walls are blackened by dampness, and he owns nothing but a worn-out rug, a damp blanket, and an old phone charger. He works all day serving the building’s residents - cleaning and providing water, in exchange for a small amount that is not even enough to cover his daily food.
His psychological condition is difficult. He lives alone without electricity, relying on a small flashlight that barely pierces the darkness of the place. He also suffers from severe visual impairment, which prevents him from working in any physically demanding job for fear of losing his eyesight completely.
His harsh circumstances led to his separation from his wife, as he says, because he was unable to provide even the minimum standard of a dignified life for her. Today, Mohammed stands between the darkness of his room and the darkness of his needs, searching for someone to help ease this heavy burden.
