Aunt Fatima’s family lives in a rent-free hosted home, but it is in very poor condition and unsuitable for living, especially during winter. The bedding is old, the walls are exposed or damaged, they have no gas for cooking, and access to water in the area is difficult, forcing them to regularly buy water tanks at a cost beyond their means. The family’s health situation is very difficult. Aunt Fatima suffers from chronic illnesses and needs monthly medication. One daughter has spine and jaw problems, another is receiving thyroid treatment, one son has a permanent leg disability from a war injury, and another urgently needs knee surgery, with only half of the cost secured so far.
