Mariam lost her husband in 2016 after bombing shattered her family’s stability. Soon after, her son Mohammad was left paralyzed in his lower body, leaving her alone to care for four children with no provider. The family was displaced to refugee camps for years. When they finally returned to Tell Mennis, they found their home nearly destroyed, without doors or windows. She was only able to repair one room to shelter her children. Today, the family lives with no steady income and faces constant hardship, struggling to secure food, medicine, and safe shelter.
