Mohammad was a young man who once relied on the strength of his arms to provide for his family, until a piece of shrapnel struck his back in 2014, leaving him with permanent lower-body paralysis. He lost both his work and his only source of income. He was displaced with his wife and two children, and after liberation they returned to their village to find their home completely destroyed. He could only repair one small room by taking on debt, cold, with a ceiling of metal sheets through which the wind seeps, but still kinder than a displacement tent. Today, the family has no income.
