Geschichte
Uncle Mohammad’s family lives in a tiny shelter inside one of the camps, after a long journey of displacement that stripped them of stability and safety. A simple home of just two rooms — yet it holds suffering far bigger than its walls.
In a short period of time, Uncle Mohammad suffered several heart attacks, which left him unable to move or speak normally, and completely incapable of working or providing for his own basic needs.
The health burden on the family grew even heavier with his wife’s pre-existing heart disease, tying both their lives to constant treatment, medication, and medical follow-up.
Today, the family lives with no breadwinner and no stable source of income, surviving only on what neighbours and kind people occasionally offer them.
Their health and living conditions are extremely difficult, and they are in urgent need of a humane response that eases the weight of illness and poverty pressing down on them.
