Nariman is a mother who found herself alone early in life after losing her first husband to a sniper while she was still young and caring for her small child. Later, she remarried and had a second child, but today she is once again the sole provider for her two children. After the area was liberated, she returned to a partially destroyed home with no doors or windows. She repaired what she could, but it still offers little protection from the harsh winter cold. Many nights, she holds her children close, trying to shield them from the freezing temperatures. Her eldest son, Mohammed, was forced to leave school and work for a very small wage, despite suffering from a lung infection that requires treatment. Her younger child is still attending school. The family lives without a stable income, without proper furniture or heating, relying only on the strength and patience of a mother doing her best to provide the bare minimum for her children.
