Sister Rana’s family lives in an unfinished house that lacks even the most basic necessities of life. There is no proper bedding to protect them from the winter cold, and no carpets to shield them from the harsh floor, so they lay a blanket over the tiles to sleep on. The house is rented, and half of her husband’s income goes toward the rent. He works hard just to barely cover their daily needs, while they endure extremely poor living conditions and constant hardship. Rana suffers from chronic disc problems that cause her ongoing pain, and her husband sustained spinal injuries in a car accident that limit his ability to work and add to their burden. Between the harsh housing conditions and the weight of illness, this family lives their days with heavy patience, waiting for support to ease some of their suffering.
