Geschichte
After many years of displacement, Haitham and his ailing wife returned to their village carrying a small hope that their home might ease the hardship of exile. Instead, they found it looted and partially destroyed. With no other option, he took on debt to repair what he could and provide a roof for his family. As his age advances and his physical condition declines, the work that once sustained him has become nearly impossible, leaving the family without income and weighed down by heavy debts and harsh living pressures.
The family’s suffering is compounded by their two daughters, who have cognitive, intellectual, and physical disabilities, requiring constant care and ongoing medical needs far beyond the family’s limited means. Each day, Haitham and his wife face a painful dilemma, between securing basic food and trying to provide the care their daughters need.
It is a story of patience and hardship… waiting for a compassionate hand to restore a sense of stability and hope to this home.
