Khalil suffered a serious eye injury while playing, after falling from a tree and being struck in the eye by a wooden branch, which caused a corneal wound. He underwent surgery in which a lens was implanted, but it later became displaced, resulting in a significant deterioration in vision in his left eye to less than one-tenth of normal sight. He urgently requires a corrective surgical procedure to reposition and stabilize the lens in order to preserve his remaining vision. His family lives in a tent under extremely harsh living conditions and depends on a very limited daily income that is insufficient to cover basic needs or the cost of medical care. They are unable to afford the urgent treatment he requires. Urgent support is needed to help Khalil undergo the necessary surgery and safeguard what remains of his sight.
