Geschichte
Following years of displacement and life in temporary shelters, Youssef returned with his family to a heavily damaged home that provides only the most basic form of shelter. His circumstances worsened dramatically after he lost his leg in a landmine explosion while working, leaving him solely responsible for supporting five children under increasingly difficult conditions.
Despite this life-altering injury, he demonstrated remarkable resilience by taking on debt to obtain a prosthetic limb, allowing him to continue working and securing a minimal income for his family’s survival. However, the combined weight of debt and rising living costs has become overwhelming, and his limited earnings are no longer sufficient to cover even the family’s basic needs.
Support extended to this family today can offer a measure of stability and assist a father striving to rebuild his ability to provide for his children.
