Hassan is a one month old infant who spent all his days in the newborn care unit of AlQabiyat Hospital in Akkar Lebanon. Hassan needs urgent vascular surgery to repair an exploded artery in his heart. Luckily the fees for this surgery will be covered by the United Nations and one of the Hotel Dieu Hospital charities. However, he cannot undergo this surgery before his parents complete paying his fees which have accumulated to $5000 covering 57 consecutive days in the hospital. This payment is required so he can be checked out of AlQabiyat Hospital and undergo his life saving vascular surgery as soon as possible.
