"My name is Sham, and like the city of Damascus from which I draw my name, I have endured many hardships. Born in Gaza on August 13, 2017, my family and I once lived in peace until the war began. My father was martyred, and we were forced to flee after our home was destroyed. Many of our dreams were shattered along with our house. I dreamed of becoming a journalist, but the ongoing war has made it impossible for me to continue my studies." Sham and her family, like hundreds of families in Gaza, need support and help.
