Abdul Karim was born on 09/02/2017, already fatherless. His father was killed while defending the freedom of his country, leaving behind a pregnant wife carrying Abdul Karim, a daughter with cerebral atrophy, another daughter with permanent leg injuries from shelling, and a foster son he had found on a battlefield months earlier and taken home so he and his wife could care for and nurse him as their own. Amid his siblings’ illnesses, the death of his father, and the loss of all his uncles, Abdul Karim has grown up in a life marked by hardship and the absence of any real provider. Yet this little boy has found his path: he started school, stuck to his studies, and kept up with his hobbies like playing football. He has a lively, social personality, full of energy and connection to those around him. And he has a clear dream — he wants to join the public security forces one day, to help protect others and serve his country.
