Ahed could not forget the sight of her mother drenched in blood after she was hit by a brutal airstrike that took her life. She found in her mother a consolation for the martyrdom of her father when she was young, but after the loss of both of them, the child lived with her five siblings amid confusion, oppression, and pain. She tried to overcome her feelings by practicing her hobbies, such as drawing. She is now a student in the third grade at Gaza School.
