Humanitarian Cases Department - 2020 Statistics
Imagine that you received $1,485,224, how would you spend it?
Thousands of ideas would cross anyone’s mind. The Humanitarian Cases Department has allocated its resources to transform the lives of 18,671 people throughout 2020. How was this achieved?
In 2020, 1645 individual humanitarian cases were admitted. Funds were raised for them through our website and social media accounts. The admitted cases varied between families who need assistance with rent, home supplies, or food, and disabled people who needed wheelchairs.
The department also worked on several campaigns, including:
- Sponsor a Displaced Family
- 1000 Needy Families
- Living Expenses
- Cancer Patients Support
- Food Parcels
- Survivors
- Baby Milk - IDP Camps
Moreover, monthly sponsorship was secured for 173 families in Syria and neighboring countries, whose provider was injured, martyred, or forcibly disappeared.
You might wonder what could be done with such an amount? Over the last year, field volunteers visited all kinds of camps, shelters, and poor homes. They have encountered all kind of heartbreaking stories. 1 million dollars is indeed a great amount of funds, but it far from enough to end the tragedy of millions of Syrians.
