Sham has a heartbreaking story. Her father was arrested years ago and she knows nothing about him. When she was only 8 months old, her mother was executed by an extremist armed group in southern Damascus. When the area became besieged, she left with her grandparents to Deir Ballout IDPs camp in Afrin. Two weeks ago, her grandfather passed away. She now lives with her grandmother and uncle. The aim of this campaign is to collect donations to cover the basic needs of Sham for a full year, as well as of other orphans in the camp who carry other heartbreaking stories.
