It goes without saying that premature birth puts the infant’s life in danger, and may lead to permanent illnesses due to hypoxia. Sally is one of these newborns, and she now suffers from lung immaturity and respiratory distress syndrome. The newborn badly needs start treatment as soon as possible, before her condition worsens. She needs to take a pulmonary surfactant injection, which would help regulate her breathing. Sally’s parents helplessly watch their first baby suffering, without being able to secure her treatment. For sally and tens of other newborns, we launched a campaign dedicated to these cases NW Syria, with the aim of helping premature newborns  overcome the critical stage of their life.
