Rahaf has spent most of her childhood in hospitals visiting doctors, as she suffers from hepatitis C, pneumonitis, and joint inflammation. Rahaf was born at the beginning of the Syrian revolution in 2011 and her family was forced to be displaced from their home. The family moved to Damascus seeking safety and a cure for their little child and they couldn't find any. They moved again to Turkey as refugees and they are living there ever since.
