Story
Fatoum and her children have been displaced from their village and now live in an uninhabitable house that lacks kitchen. Her husband died of a heart attack three years ago, leaving her three orphaned children, as well as her mother-in-law and grandkids, whose father was detained by the dictatorship and abandoned by their mother, to live with her. They rely on charity that is barely enough to cover their rent and some of their basic needs. Fatoum is unable to work because she suffers from convulsions and fainting, which may last up to two hours. Their lives are miserable since they have no breadwinner and are unable to meet the basic needs of their children.
