Aya’s family miraculously escaped the war in Syria and fled to Lebanon to embark on a journey in search of a livelihood for their young ones and a shelter that would overcome their fear. They lived in a small room at one of the buildings while the father worked as a concierge helping residents. Tragically, Aya's child fell and died while filling the water tanks on the roof of the building. Life became dark for Aya and her family; their psychological and financial conditions worsened that her kids would go to bed without eating a single bite all day. Aya is now living with her husband, who is trying to secure anything with no luck, and their four children. They lack the most necessities of life such as food and drink.
