The difficult living conditions forced Abdul Monaim to live in Tadif even though it was not safe because he couldn't afford to rent a house in a safer place. He suffers from his bad living situation due to the absence of a breadwinner to support him especially in winter. This causes Abdul Monaim to be overwhelmed as he also takes care of his disabled mother who suffers from hypertension and diabetes.
