Abdul Moneim lives in the city of Afrin after being displaced from the city of Rastan in the Homs countryside in 2018. He lives with his family of eight in an average house. Abdel Moneim is the sole breadwinner for the family; he works intermittently because of rare job opportunities and to take care of his young children while their mother receives her cancer treatment in Turkey on a regular basis. Abdel Moneim has two daughters who suffer from cerebral atrophy and need special care and medications, but the family’s living conditions cannot provide all of their needs.
