Story
Mohammad, a young Syrian man, dedicated his life to serving his community through his work with the Civil Defense in his town. While many chose to flee, he stayed behind, determined to help those in need. However, his decision came at a heavy price.
In 2018, Mohammad was arrested by the regime and endured three years of unimaginable suffering, half of which he spent in complete isolation. He was accused of various charges, though his only “crime” was volunteering to save lives and assist his community.
When he was released in 2021, his body was frail, his spirit burdened, and he could neither walk nor eat. It took months of care and effort for him to regain some of his health. Yet, his torment didn’t end there. Mohammad was arrested again, subjected to a new cycle of abuse and violations, until he was finally released when the regime fell.
Today, Mohammad is trying to rebuild his life after enduring years of pain and suffering. He carries with him haunting memories and both physical and psychological scars left by his repeated imprisonments. He urgently needs your support to start a new chapter in his life and reclaim the dignity stolen from him by those prisons.
