Iyad is a young, hardworking man striving to earn a living, but he suffered a work accident that led to a severe injury to his right foot. At first, he didn’t pay much attention, but as the pain worsened, he visited a doctor who informed him that his foot required amputation due to the gangrene that had set in. Lacking the funds for treatment, his neighbors helped him by raising money for the surgery. His leg was amputated up to the knee, but due to complications, he underwent a second surgery where the entire foot had to be removed. After leaving the hospital, Iyad’s physical and mental health deteriorated, and, once the sole provider for his family, he is now unable to work.
