Imad spent years behind bars, and when he returned, he was unable to embrace his father, who waited for him, as death was faster. This was not the only thing that changed; life outside the walls became harsher, and the family he dreamed of meeting became drowned in poverty. Today, Imad lives in one room with his family inside the dilapidated family home, where the walls are without clay, the bathroom has no roof, and the cold gnaws at the bodies. His siblings work for low wages, barely enough to make ends meet. After the suffering of imprisonment, he developed neuropathy and is no longer able to work.
