The war forced Aunt Najah and her family to flee their home. But displacement wasn’t just a move from one place to another—it was a long journey filled with pain and loss. It began with the death of her husband, followed by the destruction of their home in a 2016 airstrike.
When the shell hit their house, her son was struck by shrapnel in his left eye, resulting in total blindness. Her other son has been blind since birth. Without a stable income, life became even more difficult. No support, no provider, just a mother fighting every day to feed her children.
