Aya lives with her husband and children, along with her in-laws, in an old, crowded house full of pain and postponed dreams. Our sister Aya suffered a fracture in her left wrist and now urgently needs surgery to stabilize the bone with a plate and screws so she can regain the function of her hand before losing the ability to use it. Her husband works a modest job with a meager wage that barely covers their sick child’s medications, let alone the family's daily needs. He is unable to afford the cost of Aya’s surgery and save her hand. Today, Aya’s hand is bound by pain—and by a thread of hope that we might be the support she needs to lift this burden and meet this urgent need.
