Story
Aunt Aisha, a widowed mother in her sixties, has been battling diabetes for years. But in the past two years, her vision has declined rapidly—she now faces the terrifying risk of going completely blind unless she begins urgent treatment. Her daughter, Dohaa, does her best to ease her mother’s pain, but the weight of poverty and hardship is heavier than she can bear. Some days their home is left without food, as mother and daughter survive only on what little kind hearts can provide. Illness and need press down on them from every direction. Aunt Aisha desperately needs treatment for her eyes before the last glimmer of light and hope is extinguished.
