Sister Khadija was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer several years ago and underwent painful chemotherapy through which she was able to overcome the disease. However, this victory came at a great cost, as her hearing was almost completely damaged, leaving her to live with the pain of being unable to hear those around her. The family lives in a damaged house they returned to after displacement and relies solely on what her father earns from simple construction work to cover basic living needs, an income that barely meets their daily necessities. Today, Khadija urgently needs hearing aids to help her regain part of her normal life and reconnect with her family after many years of struggle with illness, displacement, and hardship.
