Story
Years in Saydnaya Prison left chronic illnesses in Abdulrahman’s legs from electric torture and a dislocated shoulder that has never been treated. He emerged with a weakened body and a mind weighed down by pain, plagued by bouts of fear and panic that have haunted him since his first steps into freedom. He remains dependent on nerve medication he cannot live without and lacks the means to consult doctors. He lives with his wife and two children in a small house provided by the Ministry of Defense after his release. He works at a modest stall selling coffee for a limited income that barely covers basic needs, while debts pile up day by day. Between illness and harsh need, Abdulrahman lives trapped, waiting for someone to ease the pain of years and stand by him in his hardship.
