Despite these harsh conditions, Uncle Amjad holds on to hope for a dignified life for his family.
However, a shrapnel injury during the war, followed by a stroke, left him unable to work or move freely. Today, he lives with his disability in a ruined home under extremely difficult circumstances.
Yet, his greatest dream remains for his children to complete their university education and to see the fruits of his patience and hard work in their future. He hopes for a helping hand to give him the strength to stand once again beside his family.
