Marwan lives with his family in a home severely damaged by shelling, after a strike hit its walls, causing deep cracks and structural damage. The roof is at risk of collapsing at any moment. Despite the danger, the family cannot afford to repair it or rent another place, and parts of the house lack even basic lighting. They rely on a small income earned by one of the sons working as a taxi driver, which barely covers their minimal needs. Marwan also suffers from a congenital paralysis in his left leg, in addition to diabetes that has worsened under the stress he has endured. He requires ongoing monthly medication despite having very limited resources.
