Story
Ramadan’s family lives in a fragile tent in Yazibagh Camp, enduring harsh and unforgiving conditions. With no true provider, the weight of the household falls on his daughter, Fikrat, a 47-year-old widow who lost her husband to bombardment. She takes on seasonal work in farming and harvests whenever she can, carrying the full responsibility of caring for her parents.
Their struggle deepens with Ramadan’s illness. After contracting COVID-19, he was left with pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD), requiring continuous medical care and medication.
Today, the family stands under immense strain—caught between illness and poverty—desperately in need of support to ease a burden that has become too heavy to bear alone.
