Story
Born in a displacement tent, Nasaem’s early days were not marked by stability. Her health began to deteriorate shortly after birth, revealing a congenital heart defect (patent ductus arteriosus) that requires early intervention to prevent further strain on her heart.
Her family moved from place to place in search of treatment, and even after traveling abroad, they were unable to complete the procedure, returning home still carrying the same worry and uncertainty about their daughter’s condition.
Although treatment is now available, the family is unable to afford the costs, while Nasaem continues to grow, along with the risks surrounding her condition.
An innocent smile hiding a serious illness, and a child waiting for a chance to live with a healthy heart.
