Story
Nadwa has endured the unimaginable, having lost four of her children over the course of the war. After returning from displacement, she found her home destroyed and was forced to rebuild part of it through debt in order to live there with her only surviving son, all while facing extremely difficult living conditions and no source of income.
Her suffering deepened when her remaining son lost his eyesight completely after a landmine explosion while helping clear war remnants. He now requires constant care and medical attention, while she herself struggles with illness, weakness, and old age.
Today, Nadwa lives between the pain of loss and the burden of need, hoping for a compassionate hand to ease some of the long and heavy suffering she continues to carry.
