The war in Syria has orphaned many children and robbed them of their childhood. Mohamad was born in 2009 and lost his father after an air raid on the city of Raqqa in 2018, a day he will never forget. Together with his mother and his 5 siblings, he still lives in Raqqa, in an apartment whose rent has become a great burden for the family. Due to financial difficulties, he is the only one of his siblings who can attend primary school. In the future Mohamad wants to become a doctor to help his fellow human beings in need and to be the breadwinner for his family.
