Historia
Kawthar, in her old age, has been through a lot. She spent the last couple of years escaping death and war. She was displaced from her town and fled from the violent bombardment with her family, looking for a safe place. After the painful story of asylum, the family thought that things were going well until the devastating earthquake struck the area. They fled again to her son’s house where a large number of people live. At about the same time, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had been suffering from several health issues such as osteoporosis and diabetes, but cancer is now definitely the heaviest burden. Her son is trying hard to provide treatment for his mother, but the monthly income is barely enough for the children and the family, and although his priority was to buy medicine before children's food, he also remained unable to cover the costs of treatment. With tears in her eyes, Kawthar spoke to us about her hope that she can live her last days in peace and quiet, far from illness. Your support can make a big difference!
