Awad is an old man living with his family. He had lost one of his children, and another, Assam, got injured losing his leg. Awad suffers a broken pelvis and knee, and an abdominal injury, that reached his intestines. He and his son Azzam cannot work because of their injuries and they are in a bad psychological state as Awad's wife is mourning the lost of her child and the injures of her husband, Azzam and three other children. The family is also displaced, living under a very bad condition. They in-need for medication and food because they don't have any money to pay in-exchange for a piece of bread.
