Two children and their older brother were all born with an unexplained condition causing vision loss and severe pain. One of the children had undergone multiple surgeries to regain limited vision before experiencing a severe eye bleeding during an earthquake, worsening his condition. The youngest child also has very limited vision, and like her older siblings, she is in desperate need of eye drops. The family sometimes goes hungry to afford the cost of these drops because the pain experienced by the children without them is unbearable.
