Ref'at was born prematurely, 3 months before term. He was complicated with breathing troubles and growth impairment. Few months after his delivery, he had convulsions and was found to have abnormal excessive neuronal activity in his brain. he was evaluated and treated in Homs for a year but after the last Homs siege, he had to go out and stopped his treatment. Ref'at now has the convulsions episodes again and he needs Brain electroencephalogram and medications.
