Muhammad and his family migrated from the city of Hama to Idlib. They began their journey of displacement from one camp to another to escape death and bombing, until they settled in a tent that lacked the minimum necessities of life. The tent was empty of anything but some sponges and mats. The family was forced to flee again to a high mountain after their tent sank in the rain. Muhammad is the sole provider for his family, but he cannot support them due to his severe visual impairment. He also has a son who is missing one eye and suffers from a lack of oxygen. Muhammad's oldest son sometimes works in collecting scraps, but his income is not enough to meet their need for one day. The family lives on aid from charitable people.
