Historia
Aunt Maryam lives with her four daughters and grandson in a small home under dire living conditions. She lost her husband and two sons during the bombing of their house in Aleppo. One of her sons left behind a young child, abandoned by his mother, whom Maryam now raises despite her own illness.
She followed her injured son to Lebanon, only to lose him there as well. The sorrow has weighed heavily on her heart, leading to blocked arteries and a stomach ulcer, yet she continues to fight to stay strong for her daughters.
Maryam once worked cleaning homes until her daughters grew up and began supporting her through their work at a sewing workshop. However, their income barely covers basic needs.
The family lives in constant fear, as Maryam explains: “There’s no safety in a place that isn’t our homeland.”
Let us extend our support to Maryam and her family to help them find solace and stability during these challenging times.
