Historia
Mahmoud, the head of his family, was unjustly imprisoned in 2017 on fabricated charges and spent four years in the notorious Saydnaya prison. When he was finally allowed a visit, he didn’t recognize his 4-year-old daughter, Samar. He broke down in tears when his wife gently told him, “This is your daughter.” Later, when prison guards discovered a lump in his chest, they subjected him to brutal beatings, intensifying his suffering. Though Mahmoud eventually made it out alive, he returned a different man—physically weak, barely able to move. Now, he lives with a constant sense of helplessness, feeling like a burden on his family, unable to feed or clothe his children, or even shield them from the cold. The family owns nothing but pain and uncertainty. Can we be the support they so desperately need in this time of hardship?
