Mustafa is not an ordinary person. After his city was liberated, he volunteered to remove mines from the newly freed areas on his own, to protect his people and the residents of his region. He saved many lives—perhaps too many to count—until the day one of those mines betrayed him. A mine exploded and caused him severe injuries, leading to the amputation of his left leg. For the past ten days, Mustafa has been bedridden, unable to move or work. The family that used to live with very little now has no provider.
