In 2019, he underwent a corneal transplant in his left eye and began treatment for his right, along with the need to frequently replace his prescription glasses. Then, in 2021, while picking olives, tragedy struck again – a severe injury to his left eye caused internal bleeding. Today, that same eye remains at risk of complete blindness unless he receives urgent treatment.
