Abdulmalik, an infant, suffers from hydrocephalus, brain atrophy, and a meningeal cyst. He underwent surgery to correct the cyst and had a brain shunt implanted, but the device has failed. He now urgently needs a new device to continue his treatment. Abdulmalik lives with his parents in a home made of mud and stone with a tin roof. His father earns barely enough to cover the family’s basic needs and sometimes cannot find work at all. The family cannot afford even basic necessities, let alone the costly surgery and life-saving device for their first child. Abdulmalik needs us… so he can live his childhood!!
