Jamila was born on September 01, 2011, in Aleppo. She lost her father in her first year, before having enough memories with him. Her father was arrested in 2012, and died in detention. Jamila lives with her family in Adana after they left their country to escape the war, and to look for safety. She lives with her mother and four orphaned siblings in a two room house lacking necessities, and they are facing difficulties in paying the rent as their mother is sick and they are too young to work.
